The first repeat event in New Horizons since its launch last year, Bunny Day brings the Easter festivities to your island for a limited time. While the first Bunny Day event was way too long, Nintendo has reined in the festivities, so as to not overwhelm players with unnecessary Eggs.

This year, Bunny Day begins Sunday, March 28, and ends Sunday, April 4, to coincide with Easter Sunday. This event window is shorter than last year’s, and is slated to feature many of the same activities from a year ago as well.

However, there are some differences between this year and last year, which we’ll get to first, before going through the logistics of the Bunny Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

NEW BUNNY DAY ITEMS

Unlike with the first run of the event, this time around, the new items available in New Horizons will be available in the Nook’s Cranny shop. One special item will be up for sale in the shop with a new item appearing each day of the event.

Be sure to visit Nook’s Cranny and scrounge up the Bells needed to purchase each Bunny Day item. Here’s a list of the items and how much they cost:

HOW TO FIND ZIPPER AND THE EGGS

The first thing you’ll have to do is find Zipper, the yellow rabbit, on your island. He can be anywhere on the island, but we found him not too far from Resident Services.

Once you speak to Zipper, he’ll explain Bunny Day and how it works—from the six types of eggs to the recipes that can be found. The point of Bunny Day, if you haven’t done it yet, is to collect eggs to use to craft special items.

Here are the six types of eggs in New Horizons and how to obtain them. You can obtain these eggs on Nook Miles Ticket deserted islands as well:

Earth Egg - Found by digging up holes using the shovel (find the marks where Fossils are otherwise found)Leaf Egg - Found on treesSky Egg - Found by shooting down presents with your SlingshotWater Egg - Found by fishingWood Egg - Found by hitting any tree with an AxeStone Egg - Found by hitting rocks with the Axe or Shovel

BUNNY DAY DIY RECIPES

Once you’ve received information from Zipper, he’ll tell you about the DIY Recipes that are unique to this event.

Many of these DIY Recipes are hidden on the island, mostly in Sky Presents that need to be shot down with your slingshot, or in bottles found on the beach. Villagers can also give you a recipe. These Recipes will give you access to seasonal builds to decorate your island.

Every new day will bring different DIY Recipes. Also, if you craft every recipe, Zipper will give you a special present for your efforts on Bunny Day (April 4).

Here’s a list of known DIY Recipes for the Bunny Day event:
