The technology behind Remedy’s new facial animation software was created by John Root, lead animator at the studio. Root has held many lead roles with other major developers including Epic Games and Disney, so he knows a thing or two about animating. Instead of manually animating facial features, this new technology allows the animators to capture an actor’s face in real time, and finely tune the features using installed sliders, thus streamlining the process and reducing errors....

The Bamiyan Buddhas were the biggest Buddhas in the world, carved into a cliff face, with the largest one a standing figure nearly 175 feet tall. There was a five-week hiatus between parts one and two of All American in its first season, but fans this year will have an extra week to wait before the show returns in January. Both shows are expected to return on Monday, January 13, six weeks after they go on hiatus....
